About me

I can have trouble asking for help, I can be over confident in my abilities, _but I have an unparalleled passion for tech that is my driving force_. I've worked with my hands since I can remember, it taught me to be innovative, it taught me to think outside the box and come up with new ways to solve the challenges I would have to face, but for some reason it always left me feeling unfulfilled, I left that world behind and traveled around the United States in a van with my dog and my camera. I took in what was around me and thought deeply about what I wanted to do. I came to the conclusion that tech was for me, it gave me time, freedom, and an ability to affect the lives of people around me in a way that I could feel fulfilled. I came to Turing with a dream, becoming a developer is that dream and i'm here to make it a reality. I look forward to connecting with all people and can't wait to change the world.

Welcome to Malt Matchers, the app that answers the 3rd most asked question, "Where should we get a beer tonight?". With a team of 7 developers in just 2 weeks we were able to implement and entire web app while diving in and learning new technologies like graphql on both the front and backend as well as expand knowledge on the familiar areas such as react, javascript, ruby on rails, postgresql, and more. We took on this challenge of new technologies and had such a fun time learning to use it and growing an application that we could all be proud of!

Dreams can be weird? Maybe they're telling you something? What if it's not exactly what we thought they were telling us but it was BUT it was recommendations? My dreams are driving me towards the next book or movie that I should read/watch. ALSO with an interactive user interface I can write blogs about the dream and have a back and forth with people about what they think my dream might be about.

With a team of 6 developers we were able to learn bootstrap for our FE as well as create our own api using restful routes, ruby on rails, css, and more as we used an agile work flow throughout the process of this project we managed our time and application and made something we could look back on and be excited about!
